My photography and video projects aspire to evoke emotional drama. The inspiration for each piece began with the anxiety, sorrow, mystery or possibility that each moment generated.
Twice Nightly – paying homage to the British Variety Theatre of the 1940s and 50s; this film responds to the decline and eventual demise of its ‘golden age’. Told through the eyes of my mother and the story of the Goose that laid Golden Eggs, it sews together the life and soul that was once the fabric of variety theatre, with the ghosts that now remain in its debris.
